Dr. Leroy Gravatte is the lead physician at UVA Primary Care Family Care of Culpeper. He is board certified in family medicine, which is his field of specialty. He also has ongoing training in preventive cardiology and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Dr. Gravatte was born in Southwest Virginia and grew up in Fairfax County. He attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree, and earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia. He spent 25 years in private practice before joining UVA Health System in 2013 when UVA acquired CMA Family Physicians as part of its acquisition of Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Outside of his role as a physician, Dr. Gravatte volunteers at the Free Clinic of Culpeper and participates on the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation board of directors. He is married and enjoys chasing two young grandchildren, traveling, golf, hiking and UVA sports.
