It took five sets Tuesday at Culpeper County High School, but the Devilettes fell to visiting Manassas Park, 3-2.
The Panthers ran away with the first set, 25-15, but Culpeper (6-11) responded with a 25-17 victory in the second. The Devilettes lost a close third set, 26-24, but took the fourth, 25-23, before Manassas Park clinched the win with a 16-14 victory in the fifth.
Daisy Dinkens led the Devilettes with career highs in kills (24) and digs (9). Her previous career high in kills was 16 on Oct. 13 in a 3-1 victory over Eastern View.
Fellow senior Kenzie Guerrero racked up 67 assists, while Ashley Miller added seven kills. Abigail Place finished with five kills, and Kahayla Dorsey chipped in with four.
Culpeper hosts Fauquier Thursday and Liberty (Bealeton) for senior night on Oct. 27, before wrapping up the regular season Oct. 29 at Brentsville.
