Family law. Judge with gavel sitting at wooden table, focus on figure of parents and children
For more than two decades, Gayheart & Willis P.C. has been a pillar of the Culpeper legal community. The firm’s commitment to providing timely, high-quality legal services across a range of practice areas has earned it the trust of individuals and businesses in Culpeper, Madison, Fauquier, Rappahannock and the surrounding communities.
The firm recently added two new skilled associates with expertise in family law and immigration law — among other areas — to enhance the firm’s ability to serve members of the Culpeper community facing some of life’s most critical challenges.
Both new additions — Jonathan Keephart and Monica Henain — have moved to the region to bring the firm innovative ideas and fresh energy while working in service of Gayheart & Willis’ mission to provide timely comprehensive service to its clients. These additions will enable the firm to offer even stronger advocacy in family law and immigration matters.
An expert in resolution
Jonathan Keephart brings experience in matrimonial mediation, collaborative law and alternative dispute resolution to Gayheart & Willis. The firm’s primary areas of focus in family law include divorce, child custody, child support and property settlements.
Keephart is a graduate of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and the Washington College of Law at American University. He has spent years guiding families through challenging transitions with dignity and respect. Keephart has a mediation background and approaches cases with a solution in mind — rather than a protracted, prolonged legal effort that can be burdensome to the participants.
Having honed his skills through executive education at Harvard Law School, Keephart prioritizes cooperation and fairness, making him a valuable advocate for Culpeper families navigating divorce and custody matters. He approaches cases with empathy, seeking to help minimize the stresses and frustrations that can arise from dealing with family matters in the legal system.
Advocating for immigrants
Immigration issues are complex and have lasting implications.
Henain’s addition to Gayheart & Willis allows the firm to aid more community members encountering immigration-related challenges. The firm’s areas of focus in immigration law include matters pertaining to family-based visas, employment-based visas and naturalization.
Henain joins the firm with a distinguished background that includes serving as a civilian attorney for the Department of the Navy and as an immigration attorney in New York. She is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School who speaks fluent Arabic. Gayheart & Willis also has attorneys and staffers who speak Spanish and French, uniquely positioning the firm to assist Culpeper’s diverse community.
Henain will join a practice that has decades of experience representing clients before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) — the agency that grants immigration benefits — as well as before the Immigration Courts and Federal Court.
