Culpeper Tourism & Town Economic Development celebrates local tourism partner’s statewide recognition
CULPEPER, VA – Culpeper Tourism & Town Economic Development is proud to celebrate Belmont Farm Distillery after the longtime Culpeper tourism partner was named Distillery of the Year at the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association’s (VRLTA) 2026 Ordinary Awards.
The award was presented September 15 during VRLTA’s annual Ordinary Awards celebration at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump. The event brought together hospitality and tourism professionals from across the Commonwealth to recognize outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations contributing to Virginia’s tourism and hospitality industries.
Belmont Farm Distillery’s recognition brings statewide attention to a Culpeper business that has welcomed visitors for decades while preserving and sharing Virginia’s agricultural and distilling traditions.

“We are incredibly proud to see Belmont Farm Distillery receive this statewide recognition,” said Paige Read, director of Culpeper Tourism and Town Economic Development. “Belmont Farm has long been an important part of the Culpeper visitor experience. Founded in 1988 by Master Distiller Chuck Miller, Belmont Farm Distillery is located on a multi-generational family farm in Culpeper. The grain-to-glass operation grows corn, wheat and barley on the property and continues a tradition of small-batch Virginia spirits production.
Visitors to Belmont Farm can experience that tradition firsthand through tours, tastings and opportunities to learn more about the distilling process. The farm setting and connection between agriculture, craftsmanship and Virginia heritage have made Belmont Farm a distinctive stop for visitors exploring Culpeper’s growing food, beverage and agritourism offerings.
The VRLTA Ordinary Awards recognize excellence and passion within Virginia’s restaurant, lodging, travel and hospitality industries. The 2026 awards drew a record number of nominations from across the Commonwealth, with Belmont Farm Distillery selected for the Distillery of the Year honor.
