Caroline High School is proud to share several exciting accomplishments from its Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Work-Based Learning programs (June 2026).
Outstanding CNA success
The Nurse Aide (CNA) program recently achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the CNA certification exam. This accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of students and instructors. Four newly certified students have already been hired by Bowling Green Health & Rehabilitation Center, allowing them to begin careers in the healthcare field.
Signing Day celebrates student career success
On May 1, Caroline High School celebrated Signing Day, recognizing students who have committed to continuing their career pathways after graduation. The school announced:
- Five seniors who participated in internships with Sheehy Ford have transitioned into full-time technician positions.
- Two seniors and two juniors have joined Davis Electric, where they will continue developing their skills and careers in the electrical trade.
- One student is continuing his apprenticeship with Anton Paar as a full-time apprentice while beginning college coursework this fall.
- Two students enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.
- Two students enlisted in the Air Force.

Work-Based Learning continues to thrive at Caroline High School, providing students with real-world experiences that lead directly to employment opportunities. The school credits business partners who invest in the future workforce by mentoring, training and hiring students.
CTE camp inspires future career exploration
From June 8–11, Caroline High School is hosting its annual CTE Camp for rising fifth through eighth grade students. A total of 87 students signed up to participate, and several students from the previous year registered again for a second year.
Camp participants rotate through several Career and Technical Education pathways, including:
- Culinary arts
- JROTC
- Criminal justice
- Automotive technology
- Carpentry
Throughout the week, students gain hands-on experience, learn new skills and create projects they can take home. The program is provided free of charge to Caroline County Public Schools students. Now in its fourth year, CTE Camp continues to grow and expand each summer.
Community partners make a difference
The final day of camp features a Career Exploration Celebration, where local businesses and organizations provide demonstrations, activities and career awareness opportunities for campers.
This year, eight partners are participating:
- Allan Myers
- Caroline Sheriff’s Office
- Caroline Fire Department
- Virginia Credit Union
- Friends of the Rappahannock
- Sheehy Ford
- Bay Consortium
Following the morning activities, campers, staff and volunteers will enjoy a celebratory cookout.
